About WO Motorsports

Built from a
love of moto.

WO Motorsports wasn't created in a boardroom. It was built from a lifelong love of motorcycles, racing, freestyle motocross, and the people who make this sport what it is.

Our story

Built by a crew

Founded by former freestyle motocross rider James Carter, WO Motorsports started with a simple goal: build the kind of events we would want to be a part of.

But from the beginning, WO Motorsports has never been about one person. It has been built by a crew.

A group of people who continue to show up year after year: building tracks, working gates, flagging races, handling registration, announcing, capturing the moments, solving problems, and doing all the things most people never see.

Some have been here from nearly the beginning. Others have joined along the way. Every one of them has helped make WO Motorsports what it is today.

Where it started

Deadwood, South Dakota

The WO Motorsports story started with freestyle motocross in the heart of the Black Hills.

01

Freestyle in Deadwood

Bringing riders together and putting on freestyle shows in the heart of the Black Hills.

02

Arenacross & freestyle shows

It started with one arenacross and freestyle show, then grew to two.

03

Arenacross racing + freestyle

Now 8+ races a year, with bigger opportunities for riders, families and fans across the region.

04

Just getting started

And we're not slowing down.

But bigger has never been the only goal.

Better is.

What it's really about

Built together

There are no small jobs on race weekend. Everyone has a role. Everyone matters.

The crew

Putting in long days and late nights behind every gate drop.

Sponsors

Who believe in what we're building.

Racers

Who keep coming back.

Families

Spending their weekends at the track.

Fans

Filling the stands.

When the lights come on, the stands fill up, and that first gate drops, we all built it together.

What we believe in

Fueling the future

Fueling the Future isn't just something we put on a shirt. It's what we believe in.

01

Giving the next generation a place to race.

02

Creating opportunities for riders to compete, improve and fall in love with the sport.

03

Continuing to invest back into our events, our racers and the moto community.

We want the kid racing a 50 today to grow up remembering WO Motorsports as one of the places where their love for racing began.

Trophies will collect dust and race results will eventually be forgotten.

But the nights at the track with your family, the battles with your friends, the first win, the first gate drop, and the feeling of knowing you gave it everything. You remember those.

Those are the moments we're here to create.

We're proud to call South Dakota home.

We're proud of the community that's grown around these events.

And we're just getting started.

WO Motorsports Built together. Fueling the future.
